More book ideas for you!!!

Amazon.com: Tami Miller: Wishlist

I LOVE Randy Singer books!!!  I have heard that he is very similar to John Grisham.  "The Justice Game" is based around a trial against a gun manufacturer.  I really like how the author teaches you about the court system and how the lawyers get their information for the trials.  This book talks about jury selection.

"By Reason of Insanity" will keep you on your toes guessing who did it!!  The characters are so likeable.  I think this book is my favorite so far.  I really couldn't figure out who the killer was!!!

"Fatal Convictions" is another legal thriller.  The main character (who is part lawyer/part pastor) takes a Muslim imam accused of honor killings as a client.  Lots of information about muslim faith and "rules."

What would happen if every felon demanded a jury trial instead of taking a plea bargain?  In "The Last Plea Bargain" that is exactly what happens.  I could feel my pulse racing while reading this thriller!!

Product Details"Self-Incrimination" is written totally in the first person perspective of the main character who is also a female lawyer.  Another great tale that kept me guessing till the end!  This one had more religious thought written in as Leslie deals with her relationship with God and a medical condition.

Alright, ready for some more book reading ideas??  I have kept track of the books I have been reading and will post some of my favs.

1. Flame of Resistance by Tracy Groot

Historical fiction with romance!  Set during WWII in France during Nazi occupation, Brigette Durand turns her home into a brothel to survive.  She is determined to help the Resistance.  An American fighter pilot is shot down and because he looks German, the Resistance uses him to infiltrate Brigette's German-only brothel.  Will they be caught?  Must read to find out!

2.   The Faithful One by Michelle Chynoweth

This book is a modern-day take on the book of Job from the Bible.  I had a hard time putting this one down.  God is always good and trust-worthy.

3.  Love isn't Suppose to Hurt by Christi Paul

This is her true story of abuse by the hands of her first husband.  I do not usually like to read autobiographies but got this one free.  It was okay.  Some of the events didn't seem to flow - she skipped around a lot.  I am so happy that she was able to get out of the situation and find someone who truly loves her!

Our new ottoman - we made!!  I am so excited that we actually did it!!  One of those Pinterest pins that I wanted to do but not sure if I could...Success!

This uses a pallet as the base with foam for padding.  Add a good fabric and legs and Voila!

You can make it any height based on the legs and also how much foam you use.

Looks like I need to do some clipping on the bottom - some batting sticking out!

Special thanks to Jerry S for locating the pallet! :)

Yes, I am still here!  I have been doing other things and also taking care of personal health issues for the past several months.  Maybe one day I will give more information about that here but for now I want to focus on my crafts and other projects.  (I have also done A LOT of reading, so I will try to post some of those for you who need reading inspiration!)  Now to the crafts....

Mini Pencil Bag

This was a fun little project.  But was too little for all my pencils and drawing utensils.

So now I actually am using it for my quilting supplies that I take to places to quilt.  Works great!  And I did make a larger pencil bag!

Winter 2014 is Here!!!

And it is cold!!  No school or work due to the below freezing temps.  But the sun is shining and we are safe and healthy.

Can't believe how long it has been since I have posted!  I have been doing a lot of reading and some sewing.  I will post pics of some of my projects later.  Some I needed to wait till after Christmas because they were gifts.

Keep warm and safe!!

Secrets over Sweet Tea

"Secrets over Sweet Tea" by Denise Hildreth Jones.  I really enjoyed this book! It reminded me of the movie "Courageous." The characters are really detailed and easy to relate to. The story line can/will touch anyone that reads it. I was happily surprised with the ending! Would love to have a sequel to it!!!

Tangled Ashes

Another book done!  We were on vacation all last week so I was able to get some good reading time in.  Finished "Tangled Ashes" by Michele Phoenix.  Another great read.  This story is set in France at an actual castle!  Filled with mystery, suspense and a bit of romance - my kinda book! - it kept my attention throughout.  Several of the chapters interspersed had flashbacks to the 1940s during WWII so there was some historical info that was interesting.  Definitely recommend this book.
