Bathroom Reveal

I mentioned that I have been doing some updates to our small bath that is downstairs.  I am ready to show you what I (Lynn helped too!!) did.  Here is a before photo.
Basically this "room" is large enough for a toilet on one side and a stand up shower across from it.  It is a walk-through so there is a regular door to the right and a pocket door to the left which opens into the laundry room.  All we had was this cheap wood cabinet around the toilet to store toilet paper and cleaners.

Say good-bye to the cheap cabinet...

...and hello to three rustic shelves!!!  I got this idea and the plans from HERE.  Love the final look and had fun shopping for some new storage ideas.  It was hard to take pictures because of how small the room is but I think you can get the general idea.  LOVE it!!!  I would like to repaint some time but not right now.

And here are some more boards I just finished today.  This first one is for our bedroom.  I really like this verse.
11 1/4 x 18
This little guy I made specifically for our "new" small bath - didn't have it done for the pictures of the bath.
11 1/4 x 6
A smaller "Fruit of the Spirit" sign.  Donating this to the Fairlawn Auction that is in March.  Be sure to look for it there!!
11 1/4 x 11 1/4
That's all for now.

A New Series I Found

"The Teacup Novellas" by Diane Moody
These are cute quick reads.  They build on each other so you will want to read them in order.  I have not finished book 5 yet but wanted to let you all know about them.  Fun reads!  Enjoy!!!

Book Recommendations

Here a few books that I have read recently and would recommend.

Product DetailsVisible Threat by Janice Cantore

This book is #2 in this series (Critical Pursuit was the first).  A good mystery with some fun characters.  This is a pretty easy read and the storyline is good.  Fighting human trafficking is the theme this time.

Product DetailsJust 18 Summers by Michelle Cox & Rene Gutteridge

This book is a reminder that time goes fast and we only have 18 years to influence and spend quality time with our children before they are off on their own.  You will laugh, and you will cry through this book.  Each chapter switches between several different parents' viewpoints.  I had a hard time putting this one down.

Product DetailsThe Prayer box by Lisa Wingate

Really liked the storyline here.  Set in Hatteras Island, I could really imagine myself there.  Had a hard time feeling for the main character at first - comes off selfish - but she learns a lot and helps several people in the end.

Have you read a good book lately?  I would love to hear what it was and why you liked it.

Painted signs

I was busy making some custom signs for some special people.  Had a lot of fun!!!  The sizes are under each one.

11x16

11x18

This one has a chalkboard Mickey head so you can count down the days!
11x13

I love how this one turned out...looks like burned page edges.
16x11

I already have an idea for something I want to make for my bedroom.  If you would like something made, please contact me.  I am open to just about anything!!  :)

I Found It!!!

I believe I have found the craft that I can really get into and enjoy and do for many different occasions...painted signs!!!  I love the creativity it allows.  I love "weeding" out the vinyl pieces (ask Lynn how long it takes me to peel an orange!)  Here are my latest.

I made this one to give to Sara's Garden here in Wauseon, Ohio.  I have been going there for Hyperbaric Oxygen treatment for my Lymes Disease.  Yea - only 2 more treatments!!!  I took it with me today and they had it hanging up before I left! :)

This one I made and gave to our youth group silent auction.  If you are interested in bidding on it, let me know or come to our church on Sunday and put your bid on it!!!

If you have any ideas or want me to make one for you, contact me at Tami.  I can do different sizes, sayings, quotes, song lyrics, you name it.  Prices range $10-20 depending on size of board and how much text.

I can't believe Christmas is over!  This year has flown by.  But that means I can post pictures of items I made for Christmas presents!!!

"Olaf" painted on a piece of board.  My little 2-year-old friend loved this and I received the cutest "thank you" video from her...makes me smile every time I watch it.

String art soccer ball boards for my son and a friend.  Both really liked them.  Used my new Silhouette Cameo to do the lettering - thanks Lynn!!

Two subway art boards I made as gifts.  LOVE making these!!!!!
If you have an idea that you would like made into a decorative board, contact me.  The top one is 11 1/4" wide by 18" tall and the bottom one is 11 1/4" square.  I can do other sizes too.  Costs depends on the size but would run between $15-25.

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas time.  Be safe over the New Year's and keep in touch!

Latest Projects

These have become my new favorite thing to make!!!  Both are 11 1/4" wide by 18" long.  Hand painted and then varnished to seal.  The top one (Fruit of the Spirit) I donated to our MYF silent auction at church.  The White Christmas I made for myself!!

I have a couple others to do for Christmas presents and some other projects that I did but you will have to wait till after Christmas to see those.  Don't want to ruin any surprises!!
